Screw waiting. You jump out of the bushes with a graceful leap and land into a pose similar to a magician revealing a magic trick. The pose is held as you wait for a reaction from the group. Your eyes look over at the obviously stoned group of 3 girls and two boys. Almost a minute passes and you just give up and walk away. They are baked out of their minds right now and it’d be a waste of effort. But before you forget go back to the campsite and grab a six pack from the camper’s cooler. None of them have moved an inch since your intrusion, so you simply thank the catatonic group and make your leave.
You walk off and still don’t hear a sound and as the distance grows the silence is taken over by the sounds of the night forest. With beer in tow, you head over to the RV for a chance to barter your shot at driving. Eventually you arrive and clear your throat to gracefully announce yourself. “Who dat out dere?” you hear bellow from inside. “My name is Ray sir and I come bearing gifts,” you mumble back. The humor in that line is obviously lost by the fact that he cannot get a bear pun until he knows that you are a bear, but you grin and bear it… double pun’d.
The window blinds shuffle as you see someone looking out. A gasp is heard, but to ease the situation you hold up the six pack and smile. “What, you trying to trick me to come out so you can eat me are ya?” the voice yelled out again. “No sir, I simply live in the forest as well and wanted to extend my greeting to a neighbor.” Almost immediately the front door on the RV shot open. An older man with a few teeth stepped out laughing; which caused a whistle from the spaces between his teeth. “Well why didn’t ya say so?” he said with a smile. Walking over he grabbed your hand and shook it vigorously. “I don’t get too many friendly faces around these parts.” He reached back in the RV and pulled out two lawn chairs prompting you to sit down. But now that you meet the guy you don’t know if you’ll ever get to drive his RV and you don’t even know why you got the idea in the first place.
So you can stick with the plan or try something else.
Stick to it, like an adhesive (4-E)
Short attention span choice: Bear, drive NOW! (4-F)
