How beary good to meet you all (2-D)

You break the awkward air with a calm bow. As you rise you calmly ask, “How do you do?” the faces on the camper quickly goes from terror to shock as they stare back trying to process. With one paw scratching the back of your head you let out a chuckle. “Yup, I’m a talking bear, nice to meet you.” One of the campers gets up and walks over. He begins to poke you looking around for what you could only assume is a zipper. As his hands graze over you it’s only a matter of seconds before things start to get inappropriate. “Hey there,” you calmly say. “I’m all for you believing that I’m a bear, but that no excuse for you to be so grabby with your hands. We just met and I don’t even know your name.” Silence befalls the group, followed by an almost instantaneous laughter. This lets you relax a bit as you sit down and start to make small talk.

“So you are really a bear?” The downside to marijuana was that at times those under the influence sometimes take a while to catch up. You slowly look over to him and nod followed by his eyes widening, “Whooaa,” he finally managed to say. Looking around the group you see 2 boys and 3 girls all laughing by the fire. Each of them with drinks in hand laughing and enjoying the great outdoors. “So what brings you kids out here anyway?” You asked just to make small talk really. Since you don’t have a calendar you don’t know what day it is exactly, but you can only assume they’re on some break from school. The boys look to each other and whisper, the girls look on in concern. After a brief deliberation, they face you and one of the girls explains. “We’re here to contact beings from outer space.” “Oh,” you spurt out as you look around. The girl continues, “In school we picked up and encoded signal and we believe that being will be landing in this area later tonight. Looking around at the seriousness of these kids faces lets you know just what you have gotten yourself into.
