Fuck cordial, fuck these aliens and fuck it’s going to be awkward explaining to them why you’re drunk, stoned and covered in blood. As the tractor beam pulls you up you prepare for the worst by maintaining a scowl with your arms folded. Eventually you get pulled onboard and the floor closes under you. “So what do you want,” you bellow. “It’s a bit rude to snatch a bear up without asking.” Looking around the room you see other anthropomorphic bears like yourself, but that doesn’t matter right now. What matters is that you find out what is going on and what they want.
One bear steps forward and begins to quietly speak, “My apologies for taking you from-" “Can it,” you cut him off. “Let’s just skip ahead to the part where you tell me what you want.” Your brash attitude takes them all off guard, the deliberate briefly in a language you don’t even care to understand. You just stand there tapping your foot with your arms folded waiting for them to finish.
Eventually they turn back to you with smiles. “Our apologies friend, we simply." “To the point,” you demand. “Ahh yes, the point. Well we have been watching your planet for quite some time and saw the potential your planet possesses. And we all agreed that we would like to help your world flourish further.” Not a bad offer, ask them to explain. “Explain?” you obediently ask. “Well we were thinking about giving you super powers. How does that sound? It’ll be a trail of course to see how they are used and if we should share further advancement with your people. Would that be okay?”
Not a second, a beat or a breath is taken before you exclaim yes to the other talking bears. They insist you follow them to a chamber, so they can get you all set with your new super powers. Excited you don’t question them as they inject you with a green fluid. “Now you will be granted enhanced strength, speed and intellect my friend, use it wisely.” “What about flying, can I fly?” you squeal out. “Ah why of course, no powers are complete without flight.”
Once the procedure is done they allow you to leave the ship and discover your abilities for yourself. Reminding you your actions will directly affect how they further assist the earth. Finally telling you that the powers should take 10 hours to manifest you have time to figure out how to best use them. So now the question every super powered being must face. What will you do?
